TER + BIKE service in Nouvelle Aquitaine this summer
This summer, more serenely trips
To welcome you, the SNCF in Nouvelle-Aquitaine has introduced the VéloZEN service from the 1st June to the 15 September, which allows you to travel with your bike on certain trains on the following lines:
- La Rochelle <> Bordeaux: line 15; service scheduled every day from 6 July to 1st September
- Libourne <> Bordeaux<> Arcachon: line 41+; every weekend from 1 June to 15 September and every day from 6 July to 1 September;
- Bordeaux <> Le Verdon: route 42; every weekend from 1 June to 15 September;
- Bordeaux <> Hendaye: route 51; every weekend from 1 June to 15 September and every day from 6 July to 1st September;
Passengers travelling to these 4 destinations will be able to take advantage of a service on board certain TER trains to accommodate their bicycles.
But how does it work?
Before boarding, cyclists will entrust their bikes to an agent who will take them to the TER's dedicated bike zone.
Each train equipped in this way can accommodate up to 25 additional bicycles; the bicycle zones are identified by stickers affixed to the carriage.
✔️ This service costs €3, and booking is compulsory on the TER Nouvelle-Aquitaine website.
🏷️ Bicycles must be labelled to identify the passenger and their bicycle
❌ Tandems, recumbent bicycles and trailers are not permitted on board.
